Manufacturing and Testing of Mulch Sheet from Agricultural Waste Raw Materials

This study aims to make sheet organic mulch from several agricultural wastes and determine the best type of material for making mulch. research was carried out at Greenhouse Faculty Agriculture Laboratory Agrotechnology, Agriculture, Samudra University, Langsa City, Aceh Province which took place February April 2021.This used a non-factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with four replications waste materials consisting bagasse, water hyacinth, rice straw, corn husks, banana fronds, coconut fiber empty fruit bunches oil palm. The raw are 2.4 Kg NaOH 0.168 Kg. parameters observed in this were absorption, moisture content yield.The results showed that had very significant effect on produced. For absorption parameters, bagasse (M1) is treatment. As parameter, treatment found Coconut Coir (M6) while yield parameter Rice Straw (M3) waste.Based study, produce mulch, it recommended use straw (M3). &nbsp
